Jazz in the Garden

Shay Hazan Quintet

Bassist and composer Shay Hazan and his quintet are a mainstay of Tel Aviv’s vibrant jazz scene. Hazan’s musical roots include Maroccan Gnawa music, and the five musicians combine its traditional rhythms with the Chicago free jazz of the 60s and elements of hip-hop to create a unique sound.

With Shay Hazan (gimbri, bass), Tal Avraham (trumpet), Eyal Netzer (saxophone), Milton Michaeli (piano), Shahar Haziza (drums)
