A Review Of The Summer Tour 2007

The Jewish Museum Berlin looks back at a successful Summer Tour 2007. In our luggage, we had a mobile exhibition and the workshop "It Was As Simple As That." In the five weeks on.tour, we drove 6,500 km and visited 24 schools in cities and smaller towns of five federal states. We have memories of many happy encounters, but also less happy ones in four schools. Around 2,500 pupils visited the mobile exhibition, asked a multitude of questions, demonstrating sometimes a sound, sometimes a thin knowledge of the subject. 1,200 pupils participated in the workshop "It Was As Simple As That."

All the schools visited were secondary schools: These include academic high schools (qualifying students up to the university entrance level: Gymnasium); schools which end at the junior high level (Realschule, Hauptschule, Staatliche Regelschule) and schools which cover the three school certificates (Gesamtschule, Schulzentrum).
