Pieter-Dirk Uys: Desperate First Ladies
Pieter-Dirk Uys returns to the Jewish Museum Berlin with a performance inspired by desperate first ladies such as Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, the three wives of the president of South Africa and other women who have issues with hair. Famous for his character "Evita Bezuidenhout" who for the last 30 years has claimed the title of "the most famous white woman in South Africa". Uys has collected a chorus-line of women in this show – some who have been with him since the late 1970s, others who have joined through fame and notoriety.
