The Jewish Museum Berlin's audio guide tours visitors through the architecture and permanent exhibition in eight languages. On their way through the exhibition with the Apple iPod classic, visitors can select any of over 100 two-minute stories, which provide in-depth information on exhibits or themes covered in an exhibition section. Special features include the Holocaust Tower, Levi Strauss' jeans, Moses Mendelssohn and the painting "Loneliness" by Felix Nussbaum. The audio texts have no fixed sequence, leaving it to the visitors to decide how much information they require. The 3 ½ hour audio guide is enhanced by background sound improvisations on the "Vexations," a short piano composition by Erik Satie.
