The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the most important aid organization for Jews throughout the world, will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2004. Over the last nine decades, the JDC (or JOINT, as the committee is commonly known) has been active in over 85 countries, offering the Jewish people support during the worst crises of the 20th century.

To celebrate the JOINT anniversary, the museum will exhibit photographs from two of its largest aid operations of the past 60 years: the support it provided for both displaced persons and newly founded Jewish communities in postwar Germany, and its current aid program for Jewish populations in the countries of the former Soviet Union.
