The exhibition focuses on Pavel Schmidt's interpretation of Franz Kafka's work. In his cycle of 49 color sketches, the painter, illustrator, and installation artist Pavel Schmidt worked with original fragments from Kafka's bequest. He approaches Kafka's cryptic works in a very personal manner – the sometimes provocative sketches are shown alongside the unpublished texts by Franz Kafka that inspired them.
