A Multimedia Hotspot
The Rafael Roth Learning Center extends the Jewish Museum Berlin's exhibition program to the computer screen. Media productions developed by museum staff present documents, objects, film clips and audio files as well as games relating to the varied and checkered history of Jewish experience in Germany. In the subterranean level of the Libeskind-Building, the media-lounge and study rooms with computer berths invite visitors to browse through various computer formats.
At the click of a mouse, viewers may explore virtual exhibitions retelling history as a series of "stories," or, led by an avatar, they can take a walk through the children's game "Sansanvi's Park." "Things" presents special exhibits from our collection and takes a look behind the scenes of museum work. In "Faces," Jews speak about life in Germany today.
