Lea Fleischmann: "Heiliges Essen – das Judentum für Nichtjuden verständlich gemacht" (Holy food – Judaism for non-Jews)
Book Presentation with the Author
Kosher means: allowed, permitted. Those who adhere to the Jewish dietary laws have to follow certain rules. Food is never an unreflective matter, but is bedded in rituals which turn it into something special over and over again. In her book, Lea Fleischmann explains the dietary laws for non-Jews and inspires reflection on personal eating habits. She demonstrates in a vivid way how kosher food promotes living in harmony with creation and makes every meal a spiritual experience.
