Museums, archives, and libraries are the custodians of our cultural heritage. How much access to it do they allow and how can the digital options be used? Here the institutions have to strike a balance between their legal and financial possibilities which directly affects the self-image of the institutions. The role of initiatives such as Wikipedia and also the economy is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this international conference is to publicly discuss the possibilities and related issues with experts from the worlds of culture, business, and society.
