In Michel Bergmann’s third novel about the "Teilacher," they are now getting on in years. The two very different brothers Moritz (77) and Alfred (75) Kleefeld live together. Alfred is a struggling actor, Moritz a professor emeritus of psychology. Both are hypochondriacs and try to top each other’s imaginary ailments. The new housekeeper is not only young and pretty as a picture, but also Palestinian. Zamira soon realizes that it is not only about cooking, cleaning, and washing in this household, but more about love, life, and death.
