Digitization poses museums, archives, and libraries with major challenges. What will remain in the future of the testimonies of cultural creation stored as bits and bytes on hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tapes? The sustainable preservation of cultural heritage requires new technical and organizational skills and an adaptation of the legal framework.
After various aspects of the topic were highlighted in three internal expert workshops, we invite you to attend this final event at which the results will be presented and discussed.
An event organized by Internet & Society Co:llaboratory in cooperation with NESTOR, the competence network for long-term archiving, iRights.Lab Kultur, the Institute for Museum Research, the Konrad Zuse Center for Information Technology Berlin, and the Jewish Museum Berlin.
