Zvi Kolitz’ moving monolog from the Warsaw Ghetto is "a beautiful and true text, as true as only fiction can be." (Emmanuel Levinas)

"Der Tojt kenn mehr nit warten" - "Death can wait no longer." To German ears, the Yiddish sounds both familiar and foreign at the same time. The "moving human and religious document" (Thomas Mann), from Buenos Aires in the year 1946, comes from the inside of a person who knows the abyss.

A performance by Arie Zinger in the original Yiddish version.
