The Jewish Museum Berlin Foundation is an operating foundation which itself runs charitable projects. It cooperates nationally and internationally with cultural, religious, and scientific institutions. For its educational work, special exhibitions, and programs for the Academy of the Jewish Museum Berlin in particular, the Museum aspires to medium- to long-term support.

The three-year program "Diversity in Schools" towards the comprehensive intercultural opening of schools is run by the Jewish Museum Berlin in cooperation with the German Children and Youth Foundation and funded by the Mercator Foundation. Our special exhibition "The Whole Truth ... everything you always wanted to know about Jews" is realized with the support of the German Lottery Foundation Berlin. The museum runs the Leo Baeck program with its cooperation partner the Remembrance, Responsibility, and Future Foundation.

The Berlin-based embassies also support museum projects, such as the recent support of the US Embassy for the symposium on the special exhibition "R.B. Kitaj (1932-2007) Obessions" in 2012. The museum also develops new projects in an international context such as a training program for employees of Jewish museums in Europe funded by the Foreign Office.
