Comic Strip Workshop for Pupils in Classes 5—13

Please note: This program was available only for the duration of the exhibition and can no longer be booked!
Superheroes or Super-Rabbis—in comics, anything goes! To study the cultural history of comics is to traverse the world of the Modernist era. A visit to the exhibition opens a Panopticon of stories for school-kids, from “TheYellow Kid” popular in 1895, thru to “The Jew of New York” published one hundred years later. In a computer-assisted workshop, kids can creatively elaborate their impressions of the exhibition by designing their very own three-frame comic strip. This involves combining characters and spaces, creating thought and speech bubbles, and writing scripts and echo words. Kids’ personal comic strips can be developed further at home or in class and may even pop up at some point on this website. Who knows? Anything goes!
