The presenters came to Germany as teenagers from Syria and Afghanistan. Due to their own experiences of flight, exclusion and new beginnings, they find they are able to personally relate to aspects of German-Jewish history presented in the core exhibition and through the Libeskind architecture. Using German Sign Language, they present their impressions in four thematic modules.
Together with the participants, the presenters discuss the architecture, selected objects and multimedia stations, sharing their perspectives as deaf individuals on the core exhibition as well as teaching the first signs. They will encourage participation and invite attendees to talk. The tour take place in German Sign Language with simultaneous interpretation into and from spoken German.
