Visit to Exhibition at the New Synagogue and Walking Tour of the Spandauer Vorstadt Neighborhood
An Event for Friends of the Jewish Museum Berlin
The New Synagogue and its neighborhood symbolize the convergence of tradition and modernity. The synagogue is at the heart of the area and represents the history of the city’s Jewish population.
After extended renovations, the New Synagogue’s permanent exhibition, titled Open the Gates, has now reopened. Join us as the curator Dr. Chana Schütz greets the group and introduces the exhibition.
Afterward, we will take a walking tour of the Spandauer Vorstadt neighborhood and catch glimpses of the lively German-Jewish life between Oranienburger Tor and Hackescher Markt.
