Shalosh:
Rules of Oppression

Jazz in the Garden

"This band is all about living musical dreams"
Gadi Stern

"Three" is the translation of this hip Israeli band’s name – Shalosh plays cross-genre jazz and combines their jazz musician graduates’ musical sensitivity for jazz with loud rock sounds and electronic dance beats.

Where

Museum Garden (in case of bad weather in the Glass Courtyard)
Lindenstraße 9–14, 10969 Berlin

Pianist Gadi Stern and drummer Matan Assayag have been playing together since they were 16 years old, and their deep musical understanding of one another is tangible. In their second album Rules of Oppression, together with bassist David Michaeli, they combine chamber music with pop moments and orchestral arrangements. Virtuoso piano playing, the force of the drums, and the bass groove – Shalosh makes exciting music.
