What do historical photos reveal about Jewish life in Germany in 1935? The workshop “Reading Historical Photos” will explore this question.
The students will consider the photographs and perspectives of the photographers Fritz Werner Fürstenberg and Herbert Sonnenfeld. Both perspectives provide different answers to the question “emigrate or endure?” with which Jews in Germany were confronted.
