Roberto Burle Marx: Brazilian Modernist

Guided Tour for Friends of the Museum (in German)

In co-operation with the Jewish Museum New York, the Deutsche Bank Art Gallery will present the exhibition Roberto Burle Marx: Brazilian Modernist in summer 2017. His pioneering designs at the Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, at the Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Beach and around the world have made Roberto Burle Marx one of the most outstanding landscape architects of the 20th century.

The exhibition presents more than 100 works that show the diversity and range of his work, which includes landscape architecture, painting, sculpture, stage design, and textile and jewelry designs. Pieces by contemporary artists who have been inspired by his versatile oeuvre will also be on display. We look forward to a guided tour experiencing and learning about the work of this eclectic artist.
