In a retrospective, we will be screening ten author portraits from the award-winning film series The Hebrews (Ha’Ivrim) by the producer and filmmaker Yair Qedar. The poetic documentaries of Hebrew-language writers of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries have been produced for Israeli television from 2011 to the present.
Each screening will include two sixty-minute films accompanied by discussions with contemporary literary figures from Israel and Berlin. The films will be shown in the original Hebrew with English subtitles.
