Jerusalem: A Bibliodrama Approach

Workshop for School Groups about Jerusalem and the Holy Scriptures

Jerusalem is a site of longing and fascination in the holy scriptures. John describes it as a »bride beautifully dressed«, the Qur’an calls it the »farthest place«, and the Hebrew Bible calls it an eternal place.

Using methods from Bibliodrama, we will explore texts from the holy Scriptures with the aim of understanding the significance of Jerusalem in the three largest monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. What is the relevance of these texts in contemporary society and daily life? The workshop includes a visit to the exhibition Welcome to Jerusalem.

Book covers of the Bible, Koran and Torah. All three covers are decorated with gold embossing.
