This tour explores political and sometimes violent conflicts in and around the city of Jerusalem since the era of the British Mandate. We will look at demographic changes resulting from increased Jewish immigration to Palestine in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as well as the ideological influences of Zionism and Palestinian nationalism. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine is highly complex and has geopolitical, economic, and religious dimensions.
