Aya and Michel came to Germany from Syria as teenagers. They first visited the Jewish Museum Berlin as part of their integration course for deaf refugees. Due to their own experiences of flight, exclusion and new beginnings, they experience aspects of German-Jewish history as told in the permanent exhibition and through the Libeskind architecture as familiar. In three modules, Aya and Michel connect their impressions of the exhibition with their personal experiences and talk about belonging, arriving, love, loss and longing.
