Summer Special: Exploring the New Core Exhibition in Small Groups

Public Tour in English

We invite you to experience the new core exhibition, Jewish Life in Germany: Past and Present, in small groups of up to five people. Your personal guide will lead you through 1700 years of eventful history all the way from 321 CE, during the early medieval period, until today.

The visitors’ journey through history alternates with interludes about Jewish culture and religion. For example, listen to Jewish music and watch video interviews to learn whether, how, and why Jews observe religious traditions today. The diversity of Jewish practice, from Orthodox to secular, becomes tangible through many media and all the senses. Personal documents, contemporary art, and media installations invite you to retrace the twists and turns of history and learn more about what it means to be Jewish today.

Every Sunday 11 am (in June, July, and August only)
