This Place – Friends’ Preview

Event for Friends of the Jewish Museum Berlin

Before the official opening, you will have the chance to gain an exclusive insight into the new temporary exhibition This Place. Twelve international photo artists address the complexity of Israel and the West Bank. Exhibition curator Frédéric Brenner presents new artistic motifs that go beyond the familiar pictorial worlds of reporting. Themes such as identity, family, home, and landscape come to the fore, while the Middle East conflict is sometimes more and sometimes less visible.

In an exclusive tour, we are invited to consider the heterogeneity of the region. The photo artists and Gregor Lersch, head of temporary exhibitions, will present the photographs to us and place them in their respective historical context.
