The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra stands like no other orchestra for intercultural dialog through the power of music. Young musicians from Israel, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries play together in an orchestra.

The traditional performance at the Waldbühne in Berlin has become an integral part of our summer program and it is our pleasure to offer you reduced-priced tickets again this year. Like last year, Martha Argerich will join the orchestra as a soloist. This year’s summer program features:

Mikhail I. Glinka: Ruslan and Ludmila Overture

Dmitri Shostakovich: Piano Concerto No. 1 (with Martha Argerich)

Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5
