Ilan Goren, a young TV reporter from Tel Aviv, came to the second most hip city in the world to trace his family history. The result is - among other things - a fast-paced, witty, thoughtful book, half novel, half reportage whose polyglot author would pass as a prototype of the new Berliner, if he were not, above all, this - an Israeli in search of his German roots.
