Gelbe Post

Title page of the emigré magazine Gelbe Post ("Yellow Post"), 1939

Thousands of Jewish refugees without passports and visas find asylum in the Chinese port of Shanghai. From 1937 on over 30 newspapers and magazines are published for the central European refugees.

Twice monthly, the German-language exile magazine Gelbe Post ("Yellow Post") provides the emigrés with information about Chinese culture, European psychoanalysis and tips for everyday survival in Shanghai.
