Reich Citizenship Act

Reich Law Gazette, 1935, Part 1: Reich Citizenship Act of 15 September 1935

On 15 September 1935 the Reichsbürgergesetz (Reich Citizenship Act) was passed in Germany. Article 2, Paragraph 1 reads: "A citizen of the Reich is only that subject who is of German or kindred blood, and who, through his conduct, shows that he is willing to serve the German people and Reich faithfully."

With this law the National Socialists make the Jews into citizens without political rights.
