Jazz in the Garden with the Lerner Moguilevsky Duo

As Part of the Cultural Summer

In cooperation with the Yiddish Summer Weimar festival, we are celebrating the Berlin premiere of the Lerner Moguilevsky Duo from Argentina: César Lerner and Marcelo Moguilevsky have been rooted in the tradition of klezmer music in Buenos Aires for 40 years.

As the grandsons of Eastern European Jewish grandparents who emigrated to Argentina at the beginning of the 20th century, they have revolutionized klezmer with elements of Argentine music, jazz, contemporary music and tango and have made a name for themselves internationally as pioneers of New Jewish Music.
