With the building of the Jewish Museum Berlin, architect Daniel Libeskind created a unique architectural work that, even decades after its opening, continues to fascinate, unsettle, and disturb visitors alike. The architect has inscribed German-Jewish history into the building as a continuous narrative marked by numerous ruptures and attempts at erasure. Its outwardly closed structure, with no entrance, featuring a zigzag and straight lines, the so-called voids (empty spaces), and the Holocaust Tower, offer a glimpse of how spaces can tell history.
