On Fathers

Writing Workshop with Brunch and Guided Tour of the Exhibition Access Kafka

In keeping with the theme of access, the writing workshop accompanying the exhibition Access Kafka focuses on a figure that plays a central role in many of Kafka's works: the father.

Where

Old Building, ground level, “Meeting Point” in the foyer
Lindenstraße 9–14, 10969 Berlin

Which objects trigger associations with the father - or another close person? What smells, sounds or emotions are associated with him? And how do you find an individual language to put your own inner images into words and put them down on paper? The workshop provides writing impulses and invites you to discuss the resulting texts.

The two-hour writing workshop is followed by a brunch in the Shalom'chen museum café and then a one-hour guided tour of the Access Kafka exhibition.
