From the Enlightenment to the Modern Age
Guided Tour
This tour presents the core exhibition with a focus on the historical epoch room When Jews Became Germans. Exploring the museum building’s iconic architecture is part of the exhibition tour.
The exhibition tells of the innovations of the epoch in several showcases with different focuses. Berlin, Berlin focuses on the Prussian capital as a melting pot and center of change during the Enlightenment. Double Wagner examines the Jewish reception of Richard Wagner’s music and person. In Religion and Reform, visitors have the opportunity to enter synagogs that no longer exist today.
And what role did Jewish soldiers play in German wars? Or what ideas did Zionism pursue?
