The exhibition Another Country. Jewish in the GDR shines a light on a little examined area of post-war German-Jewish history. It relates Jewish experiences in the GDR, experiences that speak of hope and disappointment, anti-fascist self-understanding and socialist utopia, Judaism as it was lived and the search for one’s own identity.
