Antisemitism in Europe Today: the Phenomena, the Conflicts

Online Publication Arising from the Conference of the Same Name at the Jewish Museum Berlin

This publication is devoted to manifestations of antisemitism in Europe today. It adopts a comparative perspective and includes findings from eleven European countries. The essays are based on talks that were held at the conference of the same name organized by the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the Technical University Berlin, the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility, and Future, and the Jewish Museum Berlin.

Because the common spelling “anti-Semitism” indicates the existence of a “Semitism” that is preceded by the hyphenated prefix “anti-” to form its opposite, here “antisemitism” will be written as one word, contrary to common usage.

This publication does not express the opinions of the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the Technical University Berlin, the Jewish Museum Berlin, or the Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future.” The authors bear responsibility for their own statements.
