Daniel Libeskind in conversation with Johanna Adorján

In conjunction with the exhibition Between the Lines

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB), the museum will host a very special event. Shortly after his eightieth birthday, architect Daniel Libeskind, whose visionary design brought the museum global renown, returns to the place so inextricably connected to his work. As part of the exhibition Between the Lines, Libeskind reflects on the design and realization of his building, his engagement with Berlin’s history, and how architecture continues to play a pivotal role in our culture of remembrance.

The exhibition takes visitors back to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the period of reunification that followed: Using models, drawings, and contemporary debates, it illustrates how Libeskind’s design went far beyond the original design brief and continues to shape Germany’s culture of remembrance today.

The conversation will be held in the Glass Courtyard of the JMB and promises personal insights, reflections, and contemporary perspectives on a work that made architectural history.
