Family Sunday
Family Programs for Children and Teens
On seven Family Sundays, the Jewish Museum Berlin invites families with children aged six to sixteen to join shared discovery tours. From June to December, the museum offers free workshops, guided tours, and other creative activities on one Sunday each month – inviting participants to listen, explore, and take part. Topics range from food and Jewish holidays to architecture and art, as well as history, literature, music, and everyday culture.
As a special highlight, admission to the temporary exhibition The Opposite of Now. Artistic Paths to a Different Present is free on all Family Sundays from September through December 2026.

Book Table – Holidays and TraditionsAt the book table in the Glass Courtyard, we present a selection of books on Jewish holidays and traditions for young and old from the JMB library. Location: Glass Court No registration required, just drop by and join! |

What if Things were Different? – Workshop at the Exhibition The Opposite of Now for Families & Children aged 7 and up (in English, German and Hebrew)Families with children aged 7 and up are warmly invited to explore the exhibition The Opposite of Now. The workshop facilitators use concepts developed specifically for the exhibition by Ephra, specialists in art education for children. No registration required – just drop by! Workshop facilitators: Adi Liraz is an interdisciplinary artist and educator working between Berlin and Ioannina. She studied in Jerusalem and Berlin-Weißensee. Her work has been exhibited internationally. Her practice explores (post-)memory, decolonization, and feminist emancipation. Through the use of the body, textiles, and found materials, she brings personal experiences into the public sphere and opens up new perspectives on belonging and resistance. Noa Romm is an art educator and theatre designer specializing in translating complex themes into creative, hands-on projects. She previously worked as a costume and set designer, including at the Khan Theatre in Jerusalem, and has many years of experience in art education for children and young people. She holds a Master’s degree from the Interdisciplinary Program in the Arts at Tel Aviv University. Atalya Laufer is an artist and art and cultural educator whose practice focuses on drawing, visual storytelling, and Jewish culture. She develops programs for museums and educational institutions that combine artistic practice with historical education. |
